The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon

Paige Mahoney has escaped the brutal prison camp of Sheol I, but her problems have only just begun: many of the survivors are missing and she is the most wanted person in London...

As Scion turns its all-seeing eye on the dreamwalker, the mime-lords and mime-queens of the city's gangs are invited to a rare meeting of the Unnatural Assembly. Jaxon Hall and his Seven Seals prepare to take centre stage, but there are bitter fault lines running through the clairvoyant community and dark secrets around every corner. Then the Rephaim begin crawling out from the shadows. But where is Warden? Paige must keep moving, from Seven Dials to Grub Street to the secret catacombs of Camden, until the fate of the underworld can be decided.

Hey! Here's my review.

It had been a while since I'd read The Bone Season, so I felt a little lost to start with. It took me a few chapters, and a few glances at the glossary in the back, to work out where I was and what was going on.

This book picked up right where book one left off and was full of action. It was faster paced that the first book as there was less world building info dump. I still found it a fairly slow read.

I received this book free from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. I was excited to be approved for this book, but found myself procrastinating about reading it for ages as I knew it would take more concentration.
